I've been a member of this forum for almost a year, and I keep struggling with some of the basic photo uploading.
I take most of my pics RAW, PP on Aperture/Pshop and then export them to a folder as a JPEG in order to present them on this forum, however when the pics come up they lack sharpness and at times some contrast.
I've seen beautiful images been uploaded here, and I guess I'm just wondering how do y'all do it :)
Most of my pics are JPEG and about 145kb.
Thanks,
Arturo

I link to Flickr so that I can have the image as big as I want, then just link a smaller thumbnail here. You can have up to 1,024px.

The absolute best way to do it is to host your shots on another site (pBase, SmugMug, Zenfolio, Flickr, etc.) and link to them there. That way the issue is image size (maximum 1024px on the larger side) and not file size (no 150K limit).

Are you saving them as sRGB?

Are you saving them as sRGB?
Yes, I'm exporting them as sRGB.
The full ColorSync Profile reads" sRGB IEC61966-2.1
Why???

Because uploaded RGB images won't display right.
You can sent me a file and I'll host it on my site and post it here to see if it looks different.
It took me a while to get a work flow that works for the web, but it still might be a hosting issue also. My email should be in my profile if you want to send a file.

So basically I hit "insert image"?
When I do so a small square shows up, but when I hit "preview post" I don't see anything.
I host my images off of "mobilME".
Should I hit "insert link" instead?

No insert the url into the box after you hit the "insert image" icon
