OK, the safesync drops voltage to a safe limit, this is good. It sets on your flash shoe and you connect the pc cord to it, this is bad. This does away with your hot shoe. I want to use a flash in the shoe and use the sink cord. So I need a device that will limit trigger voltage that is in the sync cord setup somewhere, at the flash, at the camera, between two cords. Any ideas. Michael.

Wein makes a Safe-Sync unit that has a hot shoe at the top. It's about $5.00 more than the basic Safe-Sync, but it's convenient if you have a NON-DEDICATED flash or are using a flash in non-dedicated mode. (It doesn't extend the proprietary Canon/Nikon/whichever pins, just the flash sync ones.)
