After buying the Tokina 17mm ATX lens, I have been satisfied with my wide angle purchase. My next widest lens is the 50F1.8II. I thought this would be fine, but I find myself often wanting something in between for daily shooting.
At one point I considered selling my Tokina, and getting the 17-40L, however, I would prefer something faster (F2.8 or better).
I came across the Sigma 20-40mm F2.8 EX lens that sits exactly where I want.
Have any others here used this lens?
I am also considering any prime lenses between 24mm - 35mm.
If anybody can give their opinions on Canon, or third party lenses I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi Drisley:
I recently bought a used 28-70 2.8 L and it is currently at Canon Canada for calibration........when I get it back I will post some pics from it. From what I have seen and heard, it is supposed to be a very good walk-a-round lens and sharp (which is always what I'm after!! ). Not as wide as you might want on a 1.6 camera but since I am now down to a 1.3 crop, it should be ok!!

Schmoelze!!!!
Are you opening up a camera store too! :)
Yes, post some pictures. The 24-70L would be ideal for me, except for the money.
Can you drop me a line sometime if you care to share where you find these used bargains?

The tamron 28-75/2.8 is an awesome lens everyone raves about. However, I'd still pick up that 50/1.8 anyway. It's cheap enough and really lovely to have around.
