Can anyone say weather the D60 can make use of faster CF cards?

I have seen no noticeable difference between 12X and 16X. I have seen (and heard of) differences between different manufacturers at the same speed.

I don't know if the D60's performance in this regard is similar to that of the D30 (I presume that they are very similar), but as for the D30, DPReview have a comparative review of several CF brands here:

I think that due to the size of the internal D60 buffers and mechanism to store images to CF memory, the speed of the CF does not seem to matter much. On the other hand, if you move the CF card to a card reader, then transfer speed is more of a factor from one card to another.
For me, for each use cycle, I put dozens of images on one CF card without any apparent speed problems, and I only transfer images off once into the computer. So I don't care much about CF speed.
