well first off they are 52mm and the standard canon lens is 58mm.

work but are problematic as you stack glass infrom of your lens, light has a harder time getting to the sensor. As well the quality on these is probably not so good for $25 bucks. I would say to save up and get a real dedicated macro lens.

You'll be better off getting the Canon 250D or the 500D. These are good quality Canon close up lenses. See here for a review:

(Make sure you get the "D" lens .... Canon also makes the 500 close up lens, but the "500D" is supposedly optically superior)

Thanks for the replies. I have the Simga 18-125 which requires 62mm lens and the 18-55 kit lens . What can I get for the Sigma?- the 250D comes in 52mm and 58mm. Use a step down ring 62 to 58mm? I see Hoya makes +1,+2,+4 closeup lens in 62mm- are they any good?
Or am I better off getting the 250D with the kit lens or the 250D, step down ring and use the Sigma lens? Comments?
Thanks,
