What do you think? Just curious as to what others might have to say. Thanks for any input!

nice shots, though i think the girl is too old to be doing nude (or implied nude) scenes. i think it works for babies, but not again until they are 18. there really is something slightly disturbing about a naked 4 year old (guessing age here), and trust me im no prude. but excellent composition and lighting. i love available light pics.

i looked again and really i am disturbed. the picture looks like a depressed 4 year old holding onto her doggy for comfort. makes me sad in a way, like taht kevin bacon movie where they were molested and they show thescene where he is jumping in a lake with his tightie whities. bothered me too. like the innocence has been taken from them. sorry if im overanylizing, but the picture got me.

i'm sure (in fact i'm willing to bet) that kim did not post these pics with the intent of "implied" nudity. But you know what? she triggered a reaction and emotion from you, so I'd say that she was very successful with these photographs . . .
Again, luv the shots, Kim.

hey you dont have to yell. i am just saying a girl with no top is a naked girl. (implied at least). and i did say it was a great shot, i just think it evoked the wrong feeling by having her implied nude. I have no doubt that she did not intend for it to appear as "kiddie porn" or anything, just saying that when you take a picture of kids (not babies) implying nudity doesnt work (for me anyway).:p

I'm sorry about the "nude implications" many of you got from these pictures. My daughter happened to be running around the house without her shirt on (which also happened to be about ten minutes after my camera arrived). I just started snapping so I could play with the camera. I certainly did not mean to imply anything, and if I can I will try to remove the picture from the post. The last thing I wanted to do was put a picture up that created this particular kind of stir. I didn't mean to go there. Thanks anyway for your answers.

Does anyone know how I can get my first picture deleted? Is there a moderator who can do it for me?
Thanks!

Kim only one person saw a nude. I have a 6 yr old that still runs around the house with her shirt off, and I have taken headshots of her at those times as well. I wouldn't let it worry you. I think the photos are really nice.

Some people definately take things too far.... I think its pathetic when a very tasteful headshot of a young girl invokes this sort of reaction.

I do really appreciate the positive feedback and I don't mean to overreact, but the farthest thing from my mind when I took this picture was an "implied nude" shot of my daughter (in fact, it's a little insulting). It just makes me uncomfortable that this snapshot brought even just one person to that conclusion.

I may as well post it back here... in case someone else wants to know how to do it too.
If you click the edit button on the post containing the attachments, you can go down to the bottom of the editor area and click manage attachments. There is a remove button next to the attachment name that will delete it.
OR
If you click on the User CP link, there is an attachments menu item down on the bottom left. You can select check box (far right) for the one you want to delete, then click the delete button at the bottom.
I hope your next post is a little more of a pleseant experience.

Well, we are on the internet. And the sad fact of modern life is that there are a lot of dodgy people around using the wonderful invention of the internet for paedophile activities.
I don't see a problem with the pic, but I understand why vinnyveez is suggesting caution. I don't think its anything to be upset about, years ago NOONE would have even begun to think there was any other implication.
Its obvious you weren't implying anything to me, but you can't always tell peoples reactions to something...
On a brighter note, both pics are very well taken, the second one (not for the reasons above) is my favourite. Its really great, B&W works very well, the eyes are a fascinating focal point, the depth of field excellent and its a great crop too.
Well done and keep showing us these great photos :D
And if you can post camera, lens, settings etc that would be great.

not quite sure what you a reading into this, i just said that the picture didnt work for me. it really is the combo of the "nakedness" and the teddy bear and the somber look on her face, that gives me the wrong interpretation. I totally understand and respect the idea (and love it when kids run around the house in their undeerwear..its cute). just that for some reason the picture struck me funny. tahts all. it is a beautiful picture, but i guess i have been ruined by all of teh dirtbags on the net. sorry.
Another thought on this whole thing:
As photographers we display a piece of a whole picture. That is, we take a piece of a whole, add our perspective to it, and spit out our interpretation of it. It really is the beauty of the art, we can take a picture of a beautiful sunset, in the middle of a horrible slum, cut out the slum and you are left with a beautiful sunset or leave in the slum and you are left with a feeling of hope in the middle of despair. Part of the effort is left to the photographer and the other half is left to the viewer. In your case the mood you saw (happy little girl running around playing) and the mood that I interpreted (not quite the same) were misaligned. Not a big deal whatsoever, so I just said it didn’t work for me. That’s all. Just my opinion, nothing more. And I certainly never ever implied you were doing something wrong, I just stated my interpretation of the picture. You have beautiful kids and a great eye for photography. Please keep posting. Peace.

Vinnyveez, I completely understand where you are coming from...even if I was a little insulted. Your post helped me realize that there are creeps out there surfing these posts who might take an otherwise innocent picture and turn it into smut (and no, I'm not referring to you). I just need to remember to be careful about what I put out there. Thank you all for your compliments!
