Your photos and music are awesome, but your thoughts are like heavy metal!

Let's stick with the photography, although in a pinch I could set out some 6/9 chords ‘cause I’ve been there and done that too! You have a great sense and feel for mood, color, shape, night time lighting, space and sky.. Now you have to pause a bit . You have to take some time to think about what you want your images to become – before your set off with camera in hand.

Let your fingers do the walking thru a few photo books. Study what the masters have been up to – especially when they encountered the light and color that you so enjoy. That (I think) will suggest ways to strengthen the impact of your own work.

What seems to be needed is stronger composition and subject matter that amplifies the impact of the light and color that you are capturing on location. I think that you have to bring more place and structure to the frames that you are encountering. For example, one of your shots includes a great red sky, but the streetlamp it contains does not add to the image -- not necessarily because such a lamp could not add to the total, but because as it has been positioned (here at least) it does not contribute much.

So Dave. What’s your dream ? What (besides awesome) do you want your photographs to be ? Want them to be the best ? ...then you can do it, and it can be both a passion and fun.

So, put aside your axe, back away from from the tube, get yourself off to the library. And do it now, cause in 6 months I'll be windsurfing.

Most of the photos are too dark and lack detail.

In some photos it is confusing what the subject matter is

Nothing to brag about. Guess you will be the misjudged genius who will get recognized long after we're gone.

You are convinced that your photography is awsome. That's great. Most of us are only here to learn. Obviously you have passed that stage.
