I already know that the G10 will vignette badly at wide focal lengths with the G7/G9 lens adapter attached. Can anyone tell me if the Lens-mate adapter for the G7/G9 will even attach to the G10? In other words is the Bayonet attachment the same?

No, it isn't. You'll definitly need a new adapter.
