# 2 is great - really captures how blue the sky is in the deep desert. The rest are also very well done.

Sparker1 yes indeed, there is very few places on this planet that has the same geographical layout as DV and yet easily accesible by car.

Jay I found out what is wrong, under USER CP, there is a section "Show Images (including attached images and images in [IMG] code)" it was unchecked when the forum got migrated to this new version so nothing ever showed up for me as photos, I am sorry guys.

No problem ... live and learn, right? Looks like you or a mod got the warning in the title now. Didn't bother me, anyway ... I finally joined modern technology (DSL) about a month ago. From what I saw in a poll on this forum, I was one of the last holdouts. :)

Not only have you provided some outstanding photographs - you've also sorted out my problem with all images appearing as links

It's always good to see photography work that covers the wide range - from the tiny things to the immense. And still find a place for the wife

You got some very nice pictures there! When were you in Death Valley? I was just there a couple weeks ago, myself.

Your second and third flower pictures are of Desert Gold (Gerea canescens). The first one is probably some kind of Phacelia, but I can't quite place it. I don't know about the others.

Great pictures!!!

I've been through Baker many times going to visit my father to likes living out in the desert, but I've never ventured into Death Valley.

Question: Did you actually _eat_  at the Bun Boy when you snapped the thermometer?

Thanks Lucas, I have a love to photograph everything but the phrase "Jack of all trade, Master of none" continues to haunt me day and night :(

Thanks Thomas, I was there from the evening of the 24th to 28th of May, a week after you went perhaps? Where are you located?

Regards,
Ferdinand

If you meant March, then yes, I was there the week before you. The wild flowers were pretty spectacular, weren't they?

I'm in Burbank, in the Los Angeles area, just a few hours away from Death Valley.

Michael, Marko thanks, I think I suffer from the fact that sometimes you shoot so many photos and look at it so often that it lost its "freshness", makes me feel like I did not do good enough of a shot etc.

Well, thanks again all for your kind comment, and have a great Spring ahead! :D
