Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!

I esp love "SPEEDY". That "lightest" part on the right hand side, almost looks like a "spirit" is watching you. So surreal.

I always love seeing those. Fantastic! With the temps. you all must put up with up there, that kind of makes it worth it. That is on my list of things to shoot some day........;)

Lovely shots ! I saw you on spaceweather, too! Great work ! Hope something more comes of it like it did for me. What ISO were you at in the last couple ? There's a little bit of banding occuring, more so prominent in "speedy" than the latter, but nonetheless well caught images. I hope you saw that shooting star in the first shot, too! Just noticed that.

Thank you. Actually it was warm only -1C or so. So I didn't even bother to wear gloves ;)

I shot all these on ISO 1600, only adjusted the exposure time.
I know the banding is difficult to avoid. Since these only appeared for 15-30s I just had to gamble with the exposure.
I saw the falling star after I had posted it here.

Absolutely beautiful series, especially the panorama!!!
Thank you. I also did a vertical panorama tryout. But I haven't been able to stitch it so that I like it. And the NL changed a little bit. So I have to see if I can get it together.

Those are just insane! Great shots - great places you got there in Norway! Have to visit someday ( last visit was about 15 years ago - so it's about time) :)

You know i will hold you on that promise :)

Very nice images indeed, i guess i could get something similiar from Lapland, but it's not exactly next door to where i live. ( about 800km drive...) :) And those aurora's are quite hard to catch, it's not like every evening sky looks that gorgeous. Atleast not here! :)

Sure you can get the same light in Lapland. But not the nice scenery :)

These shows only when the light is VERY active. So they can be rare.

Well, I will be here :) But you have to set away some time for waiting. It could be days or even weeks before you see it. Everything depends on the weather. This season have had very good weather. When I had 3 weeks vacation it was very nice. So hopefully it will be the same when I go on vacation a week from now :) I know, I got lots of spare time. I work in oil&gas and do 14 days work and 21 days at home. So it is perfect for this :)

did you have to travel far to get to those locations in your images, with the amazing background of snow covered mountains...

I've met some Swedish, Finnish and Norwegians girls during my little stint as a dive master in Egypt and they are like the almost perfect specimen.

This place is only 10 minutes away. Most of my images are taken 10-45 minutes drive from home. So that is not bad :)

will do, but it won't be for another 2 more rotations around the sun, at the very least.
