Excellent portrait. Is this a self portrait? Did you use an external flash?

Thank you. No, this is a friend of mine and fellow photography enthusiast. I used some of his equipment with my camera...a soft box and 2 strobes.

Very nice shot. I would put just a bit more light on the right side of the face and given him a bigger catch light in the eyes to brighten him up a bit. Otherwise terrific!
