Got bored while taking a photo for my 365 project (www.savagephoto.blogspot.com), so I decided to practice some lighting...

What are the white specks on 1-3, especially 2 and 3? At first I thought dust / strobe reflections, but it doesn't look like it.

my guess is a dirty table...
nice, crisp, lighting though....no complaints other than the dust...
I like #2 with the wide angle distortion...makes the sigma 70-200 look massive...lol

Haha, thanks guys!
Ya, that's some dirt on top of the table that's making those spots.
And as for the setup, I use a 430ex and 285hv triggered by Pocketwizards.
For the first 3 images, 430ex was placed above the 30d to the left with a shoot-through umbrella at 1/4th I believe. And the 285hv was to the right on a reflective umbrella set at 1/4th as well I think.
For #4, single 430ex on shoot-through at 1/4th above my sister.
#5, 430ex with a snoot, high right of photo, set at 1/16th I think. 285hv in background about 20ft away, shoot-through at 1/4th.
