Here's just a couple of the best shots from my recent trip to the Ice Hotel in Sweden. There's some more on my new gallery if these have whetted your appetite!

Its such a fantastic place to visit, I fired off best part of 300 shots in 3 days! Always going to remember this trip, not least because I proposed to my better half whilst we were there :)

That is so awesome! you never need ice!!! Would get pretty chilly though. Was the hotel actually open to people? or was it just for show.

Is it open? Are you kidding - you get to stay in it!!!

-5 inside, -17 outside the night we were in it. And yes, its made completely of snow and ice...

I can't make out the model number on that camera. . . is that the new Canon IcePix Minus 20D ? I see it comes with a real cool support system. It looks like it's on the new default "Clear" setting. Those Canon guys have really done it with this new model. No panning with this baby. . . talk about freezing the action. . . . . . ok, I'm done. . . . who's next?

Nice shots! I'd love to go to the ice hotel. I've heard a lot of Japanese people go there and many marry there too. Gotta love the idea of spending your wedding night in minus degrees, eh? ;)

I"m ashamed, lived in Sweden most of my life and never been there. I've heard some neat stories of it but never seen pictures. So neat, great shots!!!
