Which Wimberley Head should I get

I'm going to be purchasing the Wimberley head this week for my camera setup and I'm unsure what to do.

Here's my situation...

I can purchase the Wimberley I head and flash bracket used for 450.00
or
I get the Wimberley II head and the Flash bracket for it for 800.00

Now is the Version II worth 350.00 more than the Version I used?
If any of you have owned and or used both versions would you please help me here with the differences and if I should save 350.00 or spend the extra 350.00

Weight is the big different. I see you have 600IS, get version 2.

Also, with version 2, when you rotate the gimbal around (360), the control knob is ouside while it is right under lens on version 1. It worths every cents for version 2.
