I completely agree with the background, but it's hard to shoot at anything other then trees over where I was shooting.

I like these shots! Background is important, but when shooting sports you can't always set up the background or choose a better one. Great shots with what you had to work with.

The last one that you posted in a different reply is the best/my favourite of them all.

How did you make the multiple frame action shot of the snowboarder?
They held the camera still (or used a tripod) and shot a burst of frames, then edited them all in to the same shot with Photoshop or something similar. Many people use it in this genre, I've seen it a few times in skating magazines that I've looked at.

these are sweet. makes me just want to up to the mountain to take pictures of my friends. cant afford to snowboard do to my photography hobby haha.

that last one is my favourite aswell, looks sick with the board flex caught perfectly and the background slightly blured out, the rider is what absolutely pops out :)
