Ok guys, the idea is in the title. It is always fun to hear people's thoughts on sports.

What is your favorite sport and why?

I actually had this question come up to me the other day. I knew the answer, but I could not define it.

My favorite has got to be baseball. There is nothing like the Ol' Past Time. Being out in the warm sunlight, the smells of summer, etc. Baseball has a lot of rhythm and the players have beautiful grace, which makes it fun to shoot. Also being able to shoot using lower ISO with less noise helps.:D

With all that said, I still cannot truly define why I love shooting baseball. There is too much to list.

Ice hockey- love the speed of the game, the hits, and getting the perfect shot of the puck passing the goalie

Soccer for me...good combination of flair, big tackles and celebrations...always give you a nice spread of images.

Of course, if it were amateur, i might have said VERY different.

Wrestling, a close second is college softball. even tho it is hard shooting wrestling and getting faces but since I wrestled I can almost predict a move and get the shots that I want and have freedom to move around the mat.

My new winter favorite is volleyball. Fast action, crappy low light that pushes the limits, pretty girls... and it's warm inside! :D

Skiing of course :mrgreen: Being winter person all my life, there's no other chance anyway. Now I just need to find way to work only these 5 months and shoot just skiing, and survive rest 7 months doing nothing.... or actually skiing myself without 20kg of photo equipment on my back, on the other side of globe. So what could be better then winter 12 months a year :mrgreen:

I'm with photosguy with volleyball. I love to play it and also fun to watch and it doesn't hurt to have the pretty girls around either :-) plus you can get indoor action or even outdoor with sand volleyball

Face sport to shoot.. tie between lacrosse, hockey, and MMA. I guess I'll put lacrosse up there, since I have the most opportunities to shoot it.
