This is my first attempt at really closeup macro. Sometimes you have to make due with what you have. I took a regular magnifying glass (GLASS not plastic) that was about the exact size of my 58mm lens adaptor took the glass out and electrical taped it on the front of my lens adaptor to give me even more magnifacation. What do you think?

Depth of field is extremely shallow, but hey its the best you can do.

Wow,. not nad considering the technique!

Yes,. definitely look into extension tubes. They are a very affordable way to get you very close.

Give a guy a camera and some electrical tape (sure it wasn't duct?) and he will make the time to do something. Nice shots and even more impressive with the 'how to'.

It's sure Macro !!! How close can you be....

I could probably get in a bit closer. This was the first time I tried this.

These were taken at 4X optical zoom and about 4 inches away

 HMMM lets see duct tape, silver.... electrical tape, black.... or is it the other way around? ;) Although I can't say that duct tape hasn't saved the day for me a time or two. Like they say "If you can't fix it with duct tape you probably can't fix it." Thanks, Glad you like them.
