Beautiful. I love the old buildings. I bought my first camera (350D) when I was in Germany 4 years ago. I was in Reutlingen, beautiful, that's where I took my very first photos. I always tell my wife about my visit to Germany. Germany and Madagascar are the only 2 places that I would like to go back to.

yeah, i wanted to go there too, but i´m in nurnberg on a training event right now.
So i would love to see some pics of the cebit

My photo's from cebit came out very poor :(

Reason, I had a new Canon 430EX II flash and I never pushed the hood in correctly, so it was on manual 14mm "lesson learnt" thus causing my auto ISO to raise resulting in poor shots..

Soon as I pushed the hood in the flash opted for the Auto zoom feature "a day late"

Photos #3 and #4 are the most pleasing to me--way back up there at the beginning, and #10. #3 to me suggests hope--a view out from grey surroundings, or a pathway to penetrate all of the BS we put up with in life! Overall very nice photos.

Over here in Germany the weather has been totally crap! I have had no luck in taking photos due to bad light, I have spent most of my free time looking for new lenses! :thumbsup:

Anyways, while archiving some photos I stopped to play around with Lightroom 2 and created some of my own presets..

Here are a few shot's from my last walk around 2 weeks ago, back then I ignored these photo's becuase I thought they had no interest.

I let you decide if they are ok..

I really like #3 and #10. What is the aspect ratio on #3? It seems long, but really adds to the photo. #10 is perfect for b&w. Good stuff!

ps on #2 if you could clean up to top border so you don't have an angled line it would really complete the photo. It's great either way though.

Very nice photos!! You're a one-man tourism promotion bureau. Makes me want to visit Paderborn.

I've been to so many places in Europe, but I've yet to substantially cover Germany... One of these years - off I go for a couple of months.

Keep the photos coming! ;)

BTW, nearly forgot to ask. Could you add some insight into #11 (the doorway) and #14 (the castle)? Those look intriguing, would be nice to know more about both.

#14 Castle Lippspringe is a castle ruin in Bad Lippspringe (http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Bad_Lippspringe). It's assumed that it was built at the beginning of the 14th century. Until the 19th century it was the property of the chapter of Paderborn.

Below, they knocked a lot of old building's down in preparation for a new theatre..

Very nice collection of photos! You should sell them to the Paderborn tourist office for inclusion in brochures/booklets... Like I said before, they make me want to travel there for a visit! :)
