Anyone have any photo links or gallery links they can share with some photos that were made using Sigma Super 530 & Vivitar 285HV together?

Will this combo work together?

I have the XTi camera.

I'm thinking of using a 285HV with cactus trigger and then a Sigma 500 Super on optical slave. Haven't done it yet, but should work. Which means your combo should work too.

I was just hoping to get the Vivitar to fire away as a slave from the flash of the Sigma. I hope I am thinking correctly that this will work?

If I'm understanding it correctly you want the Sigma to trigger the Vivitar?
That won't work. It will work the other way around though or you'll have to buy an optical slave to attache to the Vivitar which seems kinda redundant since the Sigma has one build in.

Thanks that was what I wanted to know.

Does this fact change when you use PC Sync cables?

Just trying to learn before I decide on my plans of what to purchase.

Will this combo work together? I have the XTi camera.

Option 1: Vivitar on-camera, Sigma off-camera in optical slave mode.

Option 2: Vivitar off-camera, triggered via radio remote system or PC cord (you'll need a PC cord-hotshoe adapter for your XTi). Sigma off-camera in optical slave mode.

Option 3: A radio remote system w/ 2 receivers, one for each flash. This may be necessary outdoors, where optical slaves are unreliable. You'll also need adapters to connect the radio receivers to your flash units.
