I recently bought a Compac laptop to use for pp'ing while we are traveling. I've been doing a bit of pp'ing on it but find it very different than using my desktop. If I use the laptop then check the shot on the desktop, I find the shots are very contrasty and perhjaps over saturated.
Anyone have any tips to how best to use the laptop? I know some wedding photogs carry laptops to check their work as they go.

Have you calibrated the laptop screen? Laptop screens are not the best for accuracy, but some are better than others. On my MacBook Pro my images do come out slightly less vivid (on Mac Pro & PC's) because MBP's are a a bit over saturated. I just have to remember not to push the saturation/Vibrancy up so much.

I don't see any way to calibrate the screen.
