Very good for first attempt! I always love using the sky as a background for flowers. Did you use a polarizer?

The one rule I always try to use is to capture things from every angle. Think of yourself as an electron around a neutron taking pictures the entire time. The beauty of digital. Sometimes the angles you think will not be any good turn out to be your best.

To me they are great photos, nice and clear, but just a bit too busy nothing really to focus the eye on.

Love the shots, expecially the blue sky background that compliments the yellow/white of the subject. Really looks like you used a polarizer. The only suggestion I would have would be to retake the shots on an overcast day (which would take away your blue sky, unfortunately) or use a diffuser screen to block the direct sunlight. Your colors will be better, softer and more even, yet stll get the blue sky. Also, try an odd number of flowers (3)....odd numbers seem to be more pleasing to the average subconscious. However, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I, like everyone else, have an opinion. I have learned many different things from other people's opinions but still frame my pics to please ME! Try different things but don't let other opinions sway you away from your own purposes during a shoot. Good job.

thanx for all of the comments. These photos were taken on a pretty windy day. I tried to get an odd number in there, but as you can see the third flower is behind the others because the wind pushed it there. I love constructive criticism and I am kinda new to photography so keep the comments comin.
