Portrait of my girlfriend

Hi

I've started to get an interest in portrait photography since I got my new flash gun. I've always been into landscape photography, but so far I find portrait photography more challenging.

And tips on how to get the model to pose well would be greatly appreciated.

Nice job on the portrait. The background setting gives the picture elegance. Nice pose. The wrinkles in the neck seem to stand out. She has a nice complexion, but the arms seem really white. What kind of flash are you using? Looks like you have a career as a portrait photographer.

Thanks Mike. :)

I'm using a Canon Speedlight 420EX. It's difficult to bounce the flash in that room because of the wall colour. I might invest in some reflectors.
