And they look a lot better than 2 photos stuck in a cardboard frame.

Yup!
I asked parents and they always said they threw the cardboard holders out so it was a waste of money, the digital memory mates are a hit though.

I was faced with the same situation this year and decided to go with the digital template. It was very easy to make in elements and you can color code them to match the teams colors. It was a big hit with the parents.

They are easy but parents think otherwise, which is good for business.
I was only offering digital memory mates and had a parent INSIST that I offer the traditional cardboard because she "knows what the other parents want" Since she had some control whe.ther I would be shooting them the following year, I added the cardboard to my order form. Guess what? Out of 68 kids, only 2 wanted the cardboard and later one of them ordered the digital version.
Next August she's gone and I'm only offering digital

Thanks for the replies... and will be going to digital. Did you find the parents liked the vert. or Horz layout better?

I only offered them as portrait., 8x10. I also put the team name up the left side and the players name across the bottom, The year on the upper right.
PM if you wish to see a sample.

I try to mix each league up, one I will do horizontal and another I will do vertical. I try to change thing each season to keep them interested in the end product.
