I just ordered a Canon 100-400L with the Canon 1.4 TC from B&H for my 10D and I'm feeling just great. Almost every picture I've seen with the lens appear superb to me. I'll be using the 1.4 TC sparsely, for those smaller subject (birds, most). If you own that lens, have you got any tips and hints to share? All my current experience is from the 75-300 IS Canon.

Yep, I'm ready :lol:. A few people posted around the web that this lens takes getting used to? In what ways, I wonder? I'm quite comfortable with the push-pull zoom, the weight of it, and IS (albeit, the 1st generation), so what other surprises? The threads mentioned just taking the time to get used to it without specifically stating what required 'getting used to'. I can't wait for it...
