Hi all,
I don't normally post in this section, but I'm a bit far back to call it macro. I used my 40D with EF100mm macro lens to shoot our new pet Kenyan Sand Boa snake eat a (dead) baby rat. Those familiar with snakes will not be surprised, but otherwise you'd think the rat was far too big! Not so.
We wobbled the rat a bit, to kid the snake it was alive and would need to be killed. That worked, so it bit it:

Then it wrapped a coil round the rat and gave it a good squeeze!

Then it set about opening up and getting it down:

And soon it was almost gone!

Now the snake has burrowed under the wood-shavings and I don't think we'll see him for a while!
