Thanks for the comments, all.
It's true, she will no doubt be spoiled rotten by the time she's 1 year old. (She's currently 10 weeks)

Yep, as soon as I started taking pictures of her for the first time, I though "Crap, I'm gonna have to lie on my stomach to get good shots!"
It became uncomfortable after a while :(.

Cute pup and I'm sure she'll be as used to the camera as her food bowl soon. Very nice second pic.

Nice photos of a beautiful doxy pup! She has good markings. We are a doxy loving family too. Ours miniature short-hair red male lived to be 15.5 years old. My daughter has a mini female doxy pretty much like yours.

I am trying to improve at taking action shots of my dogs. Out of curiosity, would you mind sharing the EXIF data for your second shot where the dog is running toward you? I'm especially curious about the lens and aperture.

Camera: Canon EOS 40D (http://www.flickr.com/cameras/canon/eos_40d/) Exposure: +1.70 Exposure: 0.004 sec (1/250) Aperture: f/5.0 Focal Length: 54 mm ISO Speed: 200 Exposure Bias: 0 EV Flash: On
Lens was a 17-55 IS. You'd generally use a higher shutter speed than 1/250, but I was using a flash, so it froze the motion for me.

Our dashund looked just like yours when he was a puppy. He is 8 yrs old now and turning alittle gray in the face.
Too cute!
