Couldn't manage clear skies at all in the last week and a half. Just a thin layer during this session though. It was the best comet I have seen telescopically, I could easily notice the tail before the clouds came in.
Image specs: 259 seconds f/5.6 ISO 400 - 55mm cropped a little. Mount: single arm barndoor tracker

Here is a wide field view showing the sky conditions at the time.

Shame about the conditions...I've not seen Lulin at all, (but then the one or two good nights of viewing when I was out with my bins I was looking in completely the wrong place!)
259 seconds and just a Barn Door Tracker in the first shot...I'm impressed. Got to make me one of those! ;)

I got the privilege of seeing it early in mid January, but since have not had many clear nights.
The tracker is really easy to make and to use, just make sure the hinges are pointing west and you're polar aligned and its fairly easy if you have a stopwatch to keep track of your turns. As you can see Saturn is a little messed up because It jerked a few times when I moved it.
really though its all LOCATION...LOCATION...LOCATION you have to be in dark skies to see good results, I wasn't in really dark skies so it didn't turn out like I hoped it would. But yeah I think I picked stars out down to mag 10

Real nice. I miss the stars so much. I live in a part of Los Angeles with too much light pollution. I rarely get to see the stars.
