Hi Folks,
Well, this is my first moon shot with my new camera and lens (40D and 100-400mm L). Also, I was using an electronic wireless remote (Micnova) that I purchased through the P.O.T.N Support Shop (sweet!).
CC welcome.
I 'think' I did pretty good, but wind was blowing about 10-12 mph.
First file 2354a is a 100% crop in PS. No other modifications or enhancements.
The second file 2354c was 100%cropped, and quickly modified with PS

Hey, not bad at all. Teensy bit soft, but perhaps it was the wind causing shake. What were the image stats? Exposure, ISO, f/?, etc.

Hi jocareed.
The moon is a fantastic object to test both you, as a photographer, and the lens / camera, gear etc.
I'm probably not the most experienced "Moon-Photographer" out there, but learned a few things when trying...learn by doing. :D
Here are some "rules" i made for Moon-Photography:
- Stay at low ISO-speed (I prefer 100 ISO)
- Keep exposure @ f/11 - 16
- Shutter speed @ 1/100 - 1/160
Feel free to play around these settings.
Good luck chasing the moon.

I like the grayscale. Your pict has inspired me to try taking a shot of the moon.
Thanks.
