Give me your thoughts

want to start using flash for basketball but before I spend a lot of money I need some advice.

1. I have a 430 and 580 that i can use to get my feet wet. will this work for now?

2. what basic equipment do i need? (triggers, stands, etc.)

3. Any good websites and setting everything up?

First check with the league rule to see if you can use a flash. If you are allowed use the 580 in manual mode, set the camera to it's fastest sink speed. get a flash bracket with off camera cord, set the flash at 1/8 to 1/4 power so you can get a fast recycle time. You should be set the ISO to 200-400. Take a couple of shots and tweak to your liking.
