Being a new member and with all the friendly greetings on joining I thought I should try and and show a couple of piccies. I just received a new toy, 200 2.8L, and took it to a local Raptor centre near Huntingdon (England). I am no expert hence trip to where birds are well used to being subjected to people. Took 350+ shots whittled down to about 250 with more pruning to be done.

Taken on 300D (Rebel) 200 2.8L Av Priority, 200 ASA, both F4.5. Hope I attached pics correctly. All images Raw processed in C1 SE resized for attachment size in PSE 2.

Roy-
With a 200 f/2.8L, you should show off all that image detail by posting larger images.
...just a thought. :-)

I would like to submit larger pics but do not have a site plus I am on dial up so speed is at the moment a luxury. Shall look into broadband shortly.

Very nice images. How long has the Raptor center been near Huntingdon? I was stationed at RAF Alconbury in 1986 & 1987. I don't remember it is the reason I'm asking.

Roy, they look nice but larger images would help. Try this in PSE: Resize to 800 pixels wide, then Save for Web, modifying quality slider until file size is just under 100k. This will look better but still not be too large for your dial-up.

Jetmech1 the raptor centre atarted in 89, not long after you left. I am actually working at RAF Wyton just down the road from where you were. I was in the RAF for 25 yrs but never posted to this part of the county, now here as a civilian.

http://www.raptorfoundation.org.uk/moreinfo.html. This is the web site of the centre if you would like to have a look.

Thanks for you comments.

Roy.
