Here is a recent poster I made up. Let me know what you think.

I would creat more separation between the background and the main action image. The background seems a little busy. And the distorted/transformed images on the film seem odd, they could be more prominant, I just want to view them normal but the perspective screws with my mind. The high school logo disappears into the background.

I have to agree with Baumann on the background. Seems the other elements of the poster get lost with the background being so prominent.

On the other hand, I do like what you did with the film strip. Gives it a sense of depth. With the player over the top it looks like its part of the ice. If that's the effect you're after I think you could even lay it down a little more.

I like it but like the others have said...the background is a little overwhelming. Maybe darken the background a bit to help make the player pop out.
