Hi, All,

I have used the Huey now for a few years with the original SW and have been offered an upgrade to the "Pro" SW, does anyone out in POTN land know if it is actually worth the upgrade or perhaps just sticking to what I have.

Any opinions would be appreciated from those in the know.

I upgraded to the Pro software and didn't notice a huge difference in the profile it made.

However, it does go through more steps which probably ensures a more accurate profile, allows independent setting of colour temperature and gamma, and also supports dual monitor capability [which is why I upgraded].

If you have/are planning on dual screen capability then upgrade, if you want to ensure you're getting the absolute best out of your Huey on one screen then upgrade. Just don't expect the on-screen result to be radically different.

How does one upgrade to the Pro software?

Well I paid for a download from the Pantone website in the UK but assuming you're in North America then you can get a hard copy from here: http://www.pantone.com/pages/products/product.aspx?pid=569&ca=2

Then simply follow the onscreen instructions. It upgrades the software and I believe the firmware for the sensor too.
