The sun brings the radiant red ladybirds out :)
The last images clearly shows just how little depth of field you get to work with for Macro photography, it was taken at F5.6.

Photos taken with 20D and Canon 100mm Macro USM F2.8 lens

In North America, we call those ladybugs, not lady birds.
