1. What is Canon Professional Services (CPS)?
Canon U.S.A. is proud to offer Canon Professional Services (CPS), a program designed to provide the full-time professional photographer, depending on membership level, valuable benefits and services. We are currently revising the program, updating the application process and moving it online to make it easier for professional photographers to become members. The updated program will offer three levels of membership - Silver, Gold and Platinum - to qualifying members, with each level receiving better and more extensive benefits. The new CPS program is designed to provide the appropriate level of service for each professional demographic and support members with faster service, loan equipment, and a range of other benefits as listed in the membership section.

Before submitting, it's probably a good idea to take a look at the requirements for each level to ensure you're even eligible for the program.

51% of your income.

I am not sure if you have to prove it. When I filled it out it did not ask me, it just took my money

So here's a question, how are they verifying that you do in fact own all the gear in the requirements? Are they asking for serial numbers? I was a CPS member, when it was based on submitting tear sheets to prove you were a "working photographer."

Just curious.

I'm eligible, hell I get a xmas card from the CEO of canon every year saying "thanks" with a picture of him and his family on a beach somewhere.

Actually I'm already a member, CPS has saved my ass more than once.
