i shot this show at the variety playhouse. UM has recently gotten a new LD, so i really wanted to check it out. it turned out to be a lot harder than i expected because the lights were not very consistent.

good set...esp the 1st and last images...the 2nd makes it look like there was no pit...that's always a challenge. all but #3 work for me.

You left your 70-200 standin up on the vibrating stage? I would not risk that if there was heavy bass.

thanks john! it was pretty exciting. this is a band that normally doesn't do a lot for me, but i was very impressed by this show.

thanks tim. there was no pit. and it was sold out in a venue that is small for them. the fans were very nice about letting me get in their space though. their stage manager is a friend from college, hence the whole stage access.

this is not my 70-200. it was the kid's next to me. he had a couple of L lenses that sat on the stage for the whole show. i wear a vest to hold my lenses when i'm on the move.

thanks roman. i'm glad someone else liked #3. i wasn't sure if it worked or not. i almost threw it out, but then i ended up liking it a lot. i even softened it a bit and blew out some of the blacks.
