David I checked out your zenfolio site, you have some very nice images there. I have a zenfolio site also. I also have a photobucket site (it's free) that I use to host the low res images that I post here on POTN. That should solve your problem.

Keep shooting, you have talent and passion and that is an unbeatable combo.

I don't use Zenfolio, but don't they have a way to make a private gallery?

I also have a photobucket... I have just been posting up recent sports photos to my website but I took them down because of some issues.. I wanted to see if I could post an image while it was still in a private gallery.. I dont want to make it semi private..

I use Imageevent and I have the ability to designate an album as
Gallery: Submitted to Imageevent gallery for public viewing.
Shared: Listed in Imageevent homepage to easily share.
Hidden: Not listed in account but can access with URL.
Personal: Only can be accessed when logged in.If I list a gallery as Hidden, then it doesn't show up on my main Imageevent page, but I can direct link to any images in the gallery. Thought maybe Zenfolio had something similar.

That seems pretty weird that you would not be able to do that with Zen. With Smug I have a separate non listed gallery that I use just for posting to forums or emails.

Really? SmugMug might be a an alternative. I can have private galleries and still share images here (or on other forums/blogs).

So now you should tell everyone what you had to do in case someone else comes across your thread with the same problem. ;)

darn.. I thought that If I left it blank people would like me because and I would get more Pm's..

I kid I kid...

Anyway,
When making a group with several galleries postable (at least that is what I will call it) when private you have to have the main group as private so it will not show up on your website, but keep the galleries public. Thats all you have to do to be able to keep posting the images..

I'll translate what he said -- Create a private gallery. Put an image in it. Change the permissions on that image to make it public. You can then link to that image, without the private gallery appearing on your site.

If you go to my Zenfolio site (http://abergseyeview.zenfolio.com) you won't find any Gallery called POTN, but I have a private POTN gallery that I put images in that I intend to share here, but don't want to put into any of my other galleries.
