Hi everyone,
Just joined the forums yesterday after ordering a refurbished 40d and Canon 70-200 f/2.8L. UPS just dropped the lens off about an hour ago (after dark of course) so the the dog became the test model. Although the entire reason for getting this setup was to shoot Ash during his Agility Trials so he is going to have to get used to the big white lens :lol:

Anyway this is more to introduce myself and say Hi then anything else. The camera and lens seem great so far from this very limited use.

Welcome to the Canon Forum! Cute Aussie you've got there.

We'll look foreward to seeing some of your work with your new outfit. .. and it would be interesting to hear what your thoughts are re switching over to Canon after you've had some time to get to know it.

You've got some nice images on your site too. There's some other folks here on POTN who shoot agility & other dog events. .. I'm sure they'll pipe up sooner or later. ... Welcome. :o)

Beautiful Aussie! I've got a female with very similar markings (she's a little lighter overall, though). I love Australian Shepherds, definitely my favorite breed. I look forward to seeing his agility photos!

I took my girl herding once, what an experience! :D

Thanks Playm. I posted some of my 1st "action" shots of Ash in the EOS forum asking for some advice. So far so good with the new cam though, never thought I'd run two systems but here I am :)

This is our 1st Aussie and we love the breed as well. We've been thinking about taking him to a herding class but just haven't found the time yet. He does love to herd everything else so we really need to get around to it :).
