I shot this last weekend at the Butterfly Pavillion. 10D with 100mm macro and Kenko 2X TC. Canon ringlight for flash. Shot in Raw at f22, 1/200th, ASA 400 on a monopod.

Very nice shot, Mark, of a strange looking butterfly. LOL

ASA . . . good heavens I thought I was the last man alive to know what that means. Well me and bob. Nice shot Mark, always like to read the specks along with a shot.

ASA still comes more naturally than ISO. Of course I remember selling gas at 25 cents a gallon. The wife asks what I'm talking about in either event.
And yes, it is a really nice photo.

Sorry folks, I guess I don't know my ASA from and ISO. Showing my age here, maybe I should just say shot at "this" speed! Then I won't have to remember the current designation.
The Butterfly Pavillion is in Northwest Denver, not far from Boulder, Colorado.
RJ, did you notice I used half of a latin term!

That is quite a weird looking flower, I would edit the background in photoshop. Make it blacker, its kinda brown.

Wonderful Mark. In love the black background which has accentuated the colours in the hibiscus. Very, very sharp as it should be.
