A few from DTW (Detroit)

Took the motorcycle out on an "ain't got no job, ain't got s%!$ to do" ride today; 83 miles at 34F, mostly on the freeways. I rolled down I-94 to Detroit Metro for a few pics. 70-200 2.8, possible bad calibration on the monitor through my main photo comp; tight crops for posting on another site.

For anyone around DTW with a motorcycle - bike parking is free at McNamara long term parking.

Oh yeah, Tiger's Stadium 75% demolished, Belle Isle, Downtown Detroit. Might work with those pics tomorrow.

Thanks for the comments. I really found some good stuff today. Daughter was at daycare, motorcycle parking is free, so I hit McNamara with the 400 and 70-200, each on a body. Bagged the Lufthansa 747 that I saw yesterday at coming in at 4:10pm. Moved to the new north parking deck and again, FREE bike parking. Someone big in the exec. offices of Wayne County is a biker...

If you want some more heavies, Fridays are great at DTW. You get an Air France A340-300 instead of the normal 330, and you also get a Royal Jordanian A340-200 that only comes in two times a week. AFR usually is around 1:00-1:30, and Jordanian is around noon.

Thanks for the heads-up, I am seriously thinking about it. Daughter is at the daycare again and now they are saying mostly cloudy and 58F.

Yeah, 330s are weak, this 340 smoked us from Beijing to Tokyo (I was over a NW 330-200 wing).

Awesome, a Northwest 332, that is a rare treat, not too many of those left. I may make it out to DTW also for the afternoon, cloudy in the morning but it will become broken and more sunny as the day progresses. I'm hoping to get some more "Deltawest" aircraft.
