Sweet shot....but it's the moon.
:confused:

Problem with the moon is, it's far, far, way.

Problem with that is, it looks very small.

Next problem is, some guys have HUGE astro-lenses and produce amazing shots of, what look like individual craters!

Even with my 100-400, plus 1.4x teleconverter, I rarely bother with the moon, as my shots look so lame, in comparison.

If you really wanna take the moon, it might be an idea to do it JUST as it's rising or setting. Then, the background gives it some form....

I like it.
I thought that it made a pleasant change - not being a frame full of craters or a tiny dot.
It's the moon .... at night .... in the sky..... just slightly sharper than my weary eyes can see it.

yes I was actually fully vertical with the camera shooting straight up. shot with a 70-200L
