In their final home game of the season, the EMU Eagles dominated the NIU Huskies 75-61. It may have just been me, but I think they turned on a few more court lights as I was able to get a slightly better exposure using 1/500 @ f/2.8 ISO 1600 than in the past. Comments and critiques are always appreciated; I've got one more game in Toledo (against NIU) on Sunday, then it's on to the MAC Championships in the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland.

Thanks... one thing that I'll never understand about that arena is how they do not let all of the lights warm up before the game starts. That leads to some very inconsistent lighting for the first 5-10 minutes of the game. Hopefully they'll continue whatever they did next season; although it still won't compare to the ISO 800-1000 I can use down in Savage Arena. :)

First, thanks for the compliment.

For the second half, I decided to walk around the arena to experiment with different angles. The Convocation Center has a nice upper deck area that is empty for these games (they have enough problems coming close to filling the bottom at most games). While it was technically roped off, I figured I'd be OK with my credential since the ushers didn't seem to care about the few kids scattered about the upper level. These two photos were taken at various places up there using my 70-200.
