Most people who visit GNP spend all, or most, of their time on Going To The Sun Road. While that road is certainly spectacular, there are other sections of the park that deserve more attention. Last year, we visited the park in May, knowing in advance that Going To The Sun Road never opens until some time in June, and sometimes not until July. However, we also knew the Two Medicine Valley and Many Glacier Valley are pretty scenic in their own right. Here are two shots of Many Glacier Lake, including Many Glacier Lodge.

Glacier is definately a majestic land and you have captured it well.
Here's a few places I go when I'm in the park searching for wildlife...

Grizzlies:
Many Glacier
Swiftcurrent Pass
Camas Creek

Wolves:
North Fork of the Flathead River (NW Corner of GNP)
Kintla Lake

Mountain Goats:
Logan Pass
Many Glacier
Goat Lick off of Hwy 2

Bighorn Sheep:
Many Glacier

Wolverine:
Logan Pass

And here's two of mine from last June ...

Thanks, Dave, good to hear from you. Nice shots. Your wildlife tips should be helpful. We also saw a young moose at Many Glacier, and several elk just up the road toward Waterton.

michaelmjc, thanks...I know I should have leveled the second shot, just too lazy. LOL

More great photos. Stan, for a Forida guy, you spend a lot of time out west! Of course, all winter long we wish we could be where you are.

Great shots. Brings back fond memories. I used to spend alot of time in Waterton Lakes National park which shares the US-Canada border with Glacier park. I have driven the Going to the Sun Road many times. It is pretty amazing with some awesome opportunities for wildlife that one normally wouldn't get. This past summer I had the opportunity to get within 100 feet or so of a grizzly mother and her cub. It was amazing.

Thanks for sharing, they are great.
