The texture on the work truck was great.

Here's a perspective of the grill. So much character in a vehicle.

I like 1 & 3.
#2: Just because they come out of the camera in 2:3 format, doesn't mean they have to stay that way?

are you really worried about his crop ratio? Worried? No. An editor might ask for that crop for his layout so he could add text.
But it's a better shot without the dead space, & the bright area fights with the fender for our attention.
Bright areas can make dark things look darker, too. Take a look at POST #30 near the bottom: The gray bar at the center is the same density all the way across.

Hey Frank, I took a look at some of your work. Well done man! I like seeing different styles and the different taste people have.

As a graphic artist, the comment you made about adding text to number 2 really stuck out at me. I think it's perfect for that. It has a high contrast from light to dark which would give me a great flexibility with my typography. It's perfect to lay a header and body in my opinion. Obviously what you see and what I see are going to be different so neither of us are wrong. BUT, the current crop I have would give me the option to do whatever I wanted. These are just my thoughts rambled out so if it doesn't make since, oh well. Thanks!

It's perfect to lay a header and body in my opinion. Could be useful if you make a book. See my Sig.
