EOS Viewer Utility displays them fairly quickly. What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

I have found that "BreezeBrowser" is by far the fastest crw-cr2 file browzer I have used.. and it also makes a damn fine RAW converter. All that for about $45.00 too! :)
However coming in a close second is "Rawshooter" which is now one of the best RAW converters availble at any price,.. and .. IT'S FREE!

I like to quickly review the RAWs and delete the bad shots before processing. This brings total processing time down substainally.
Thanks.

Take a look at Pixort and see if it fits the bill.
I have a batch files that copies the files to the local hard drive and then fires up Capture One which starts building previews. By the time I'm out of the shower (or finished with dinner, whatever) all the previews are built and I can fly through them very, very quickly.

You might want to try Raw Shooters essentials as CDS mentioned. It has a pretty nice workflow for previewing and prioritizing your images. And, it is free. :D

Thanks the the quick replies. I downloaded RawShooter. It works well, very fast on loading the images. This will work fine - and free.

If you're looking for a plain viewer? Irfanview views my Drebel RAW files just fine. Found at www.download.com for free.

Hey, I purchased BreezeBrowser about 6 months ago and have never really used it. I've been using ASDsee 7 and IrfanView and haven't really taken the time to see what Breeze Browser is all about. The only thing I have used it for is the batch resize.
So tell me, what are the things you like to use it for (RAW viewer and converter obviously), and what other things is it capable or designed to do ??
Thanks

IrfanView is a viewer, rather than a brower, at least as far as I can tell. If there's a file browser in there i'd love to know...
I think it's open source, so there's a chance there's a mac version available.

IrfanView can do alot of things, but I don't think it's got a Browser either. ACDSee is the best Browser and sorter I've ever used. Not to say that it's the best, just the best that I've used.

BB is great for browsing and organizing RAW files,. and very good for converting. I don't use it for anything els,. and I'm not sure what more it can do. I didn't even realize it could batch resize.
I still have ACDsee4 on my PC and only use it to browse jpegs...
With BB I am very happy using to handle all my RAW files.

I use ACDSee 5 for browsing on my PC, it's great, I don't like later versions. I just wish it'd support CR2, if they didn I might even upgrade. Right now it's just for JPGs.

Breeze Browser can also generate Html files from your raws and has many great templates. It is fast, can do batch renames, etc.

Anything for Mac computers?
I have added a post recently after downloading and subsequently purchasing a licensed version of a product called "Raw Developer", not to be confused with "Raw Shooter" mentioned earlier in this post. "Raw Developer" is a Mac only product and takes advantage of in my case the Dual G5 processor. I am a recent convert to Mac from PC. On the PC I used to use Capture One and PS CS. However on the Mac platform both these SUCK speed and ease of use wise. Finally I came across this products review and after trying it I was an instant convert. It is blazing fast, and the quality exceeds Capture One. The only problem is it is only avail for Mac, and the PC folks hate that :-)
Here is a link to my post http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=65836
and here is a link to where you can download this from: http://www.iridientdigital.com/prod...wdeveloper.html
Let me know if this helps.

Shafiq
