Detroit Metro, DTW - 3/5/09

Used the nice complementary motorcycle parking for a free day of shooting in the airport. Spent about 3.5 hours at the north and south parking lots. 20D + 70-200 2.8 and 40D + 400 5.6. The lack of spot metering on the 20D is somewhat annoying.

Great job again! Number 1 of the Diesel Nine taking off from 21R is fantastic! I always love shooting that angle from that spot. I also really like the last one of the CRJ2 over the DC-9, nice framing work! Looks like today will turn out to be a nice afternoon out there when the sun eventually comes out. Maybe I'll see ya.

Excellent series Michael...

Maybe play with cropping the top and bottom some on the The 747 head on. It would make a great little semi-pano image.

I agree completely on the DC9 and the twofor frame.

Thanks for the comments. Posted a few new shots in another topic, from the following day. I was hoping to catch the Lufthansa 747 again in better lighting, but it came in on a different runway(!).
