These foreign people can run a whole photo studio with just a simple Pentax K1000 or Spotmatic and three lenses:
28, 50 and 135mm and a Vivitar 283 Flash. No zoom. They keep these outfits going for decades... take very good care of them. I used my Nikons with a 20, 35, 50, & 105 & still use them 35 years later. And my 283's.
Give me a double fat-burger, fries, supersize it. Oh, make that a diet Coke, too. ;)

Hey! I resemble that remark...........

My 30 year old Miranda kit has zooms, but it is true that we did a lot more lens changing and foot zooming way back then.

Perhaps this problem is why super wide zooms have been marketed? To get groups of fat people into a single frame?

The mind boogles, it is not just McDonalds behind this conspiracy to pack pounds on us, but also Canon and all the other camera and lens producers.

Meaning what?

FWIW, I have come up with a way to get even fatter than I was when I used zoom lenses.

I'm trading them all in on very long primes so I don't even have to get off the sofa.
