Hello all
Tonight is my first night with my new Toy.
Is their any good websites that would help me in understanding how to use all these functions and explain what they do.
Thanks in advance

Honestly, the manual is a good source for pointing out all of the functions and what they do. Just sit down with it and your camera and go through all the functions.
As for websites, though, the review at DPreview may prove useful

The 20D manual is on the Canon web site in case you don't have the paper copy manual.

Found this at the above forum. A rather neat interactive lesson on really basic camera use. I found trying to shoot the moving sports car a real challenge  .
Macromedia Flash player needed to use it.

I got a book from www.shortcourses.com and found it to be an excellent guide to the 20D functions, as well as being a good short course in photography. I think you can also download it on line. It was a well spent $29.95. Congrats on the new gear.

I've yet to find a photography forum that was as friendly, easy to use, and with such knowledgable and experienced people on it as this one. Stick around and you'll learn a lot very quickly, and get to know some nice people (and the moderators :p) ;)

No probs :) Photoworkshop has a great series of tutorials on the 300D too which certainly helped me.

Even though this leans towards the 1-series cameras, it's still great reference material for all EOS owners.

If you hang around this forum long enough you will be able to pick up quite a few great tips. I have been "lurking" since I bought my Digital Rebel last year and I have learned quite a bit. The only downside is I now have "L Envy". Good luck with a great camera.
