I've been getting an error message ("01") on my new 20D and also on my 10D when using my Canon EF 70-200 2.8 IS Lens? Am I using the lens improperly?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks much for the link. One more quick question if I may or a different matter. I just ordered the 2X Extender II and now I'm reading that the 1.4 is much better. Should I revise my order and go for the 1.4 to use with my 70-200 2.8? I also have the 24-70 2.8 but it doesn't look like either of the extenders are compatiable with it so I guess that not a concern.

Thanks for your time.

I had my first Error 01 yesterday out on the floor shooting the Supercross in Dallas. After about 500 of 810 shots it Errored out and required a battery pull to clear. Contacts looked fine but who knows. Usually it's ERR 99 on the camera. Definitely a little annoying, but the camera is still a bargain. If I start doing more weddings I'll pick up a 1DS.

Ive heard that error 01 may also be result of problems with IS. I have also 70-200 IS and Ive had this error couple of times too. In Canon repair they didnt found anything wrong with my lens or camera (10D and 1DmkII).
