I know this is an "old horse" and I apologize for beating it again, however, since I have searched the forum with different terms (turn key, best online commerce website) etc. I'd love to know, if you were starting new, which online venue you would use today to display and sell your work. I'm looking to upload my shots from local HS games for parents and students to look at and order from. Is it best to use a company like Printroom where I believe you price your own work, or something like SmugMug that does it all. Ease of use for both the customer and myself is paramount right now. However, I'm not adverse to a little more front end work (excluding designing my own site) to have a site that will give me greater longevity and potential profits. If this has been recently discussed, I apologize to all. Directing me to the appropriate sticky or link would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I started out with SmugMug, not thinking that I would ever want to sell prints. I now have my own host name and have sold some prints.

I have been shooting my daughter's high school marching band and after hearing that some of the parents bought prints, I upgraded to a pro account so that I could set my own prices. I think SmugMug works well for me.

There is a trial period at SmugMug and if you choose to sign up, you can use my coupon ( uxmva72rB0dwr) to save $5.

Thanks E-Dude...if I go with SmugMug I will definitely use your coupon. I'm thinking that this post probably belongs in the "Business of Photography" section, however now that I've posted I have no clue how to move it. Again, thanks.
