these were taken in waikiki - Honoululu - Hawaii

the 1st id during a fireworks display (my 1st time shoting foreworks and at night on a large scale.)
the second is taken after the show -

Thats the Hilton that does that. I think its every night, but i could be wrong. If your still here in Hawaii, get over by Dukes, you can get some great shots from the beach of the fireworks and still have the buildings and ocean front in it.

So here they are in a larger size - i added the 3rd one to give a view of where i am standing - this was taken 4th of july last year and i have only just found you guys which is why there being shared now

the orange glow in the sky - Light Polotion - the 1 thing in the world that gets me anoyed - TO MUCH LIGHT GOES UP - waste of energy - and means you cant sea the stars - i love going into the mountin and country areas - can see nothing but starts

Hilton does their fireworks every Friday night (or at least they did when I was staying in their "Village" on a Oahu trip a few years ago)

I hate light pollution, as well... that is why I love the Big Island: that island is big on controlling light pollution... their lighting ordinances are pretty strict from my understanding.

They still do. It finished about an hour ago.

Yeah, the light pollution can get in the way, but a quick trip to Hawaii Kai can help that:)

they look a little pixelated... might want to try saving differently.

thats because i re-sized them in paintshop - :-)

i know its a noob tool but its easy to use for little things -
